Leo James Meyer

Leo J. Meyer, 89, of Mesa, AZ passed away June 5, 2012. Leo was born April 10, 1923 in Tyler, Minnesota to Frank and Margaret (Dressen) Meyer. He attended school there before moving to Clements, Minnesota in 1939.

He was in the Merchant Marine for three and a half years. On June 17, 1946 he married Vicky Seikora. They remained in Clements for 15 years before moving to Arizona. Leo was in the petroleum business all his life.

He is survived by sons Robert and wife Patti, Steven and wife Rozana, daughter Jolene Benedetti and daughter-in-law Jean Meyer; also 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ann Zitzmann, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicky, his parents, son, Lee, and two sisters.

A Visitation will be at 6pm on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Road, Mesa, Arizona. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 7655 E. Main Street, Scottsdale, Arizona at 10am on Saturday, June 9, 2012.
