Lynnell K. Burton, known to her friends and family as Loni Burton, of Gold Canyon, Arizona, passed away the evening of December 14, 2016 at the age of 57. Loni was born in March of 1959 in Keokuk, IA. Her parents moved Loni and her older sister, Kim, to Springfield, IL shortly after her birth where she had a brother, John, and lived until the age of nine when her family relocated to Massachusetts. She graduated from Chelmsford High School in MA, moved to Nashua, NH, and attended the secretarial program at Burdett School of Business in Boston. Loni’s adventurous spirit led her to Arizona in the early 1980s where she met her former husband, Gary Rosser, and they raised their two beautiful and talented children who were the lights of her life, Casey Rosser (26) and Cody Rosser (24).
Loni’s career was primarily as a sales representative for temporary employment agencies, the most recent being with Job 1 USA. She shared many good times with her family going camping, riding quads, and taking their sand rail through the Yuma dunes and in Arizona’s high country. She had a flair for interior decorating and loved setting her homes up resembling model homes that she had visited for ideas. Loni most looked forward to spending long lunches with her family and friends and loved family get-togethers, especially around the holidays.
If you knew Loni, you liked her. It was hard not to! Her smile always warmed a room and she had the most contagious laugh. She had a great sense of humor and was smart, supportive, kind-hearted, and thoughtful. She was a proud and devoted mother and her loving spirit will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her!
Loni was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred M. Burton, and her father, John L. Burton. Loni is survived by Casey Rosser (daughter), Cody Rosser (son), Kim Hemmerlin (sister), John Burton (brother), Chad Hemmerlin (nephew), Michelle Rosser (niece), Jon Rosser (nephew), and former husband Gary Rosser.
