

Mary Jeanette Bishop, a devoted and faithful soul, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on May 26, 1934, in Fairbanks, Iowa to parents; Ervin and Frances Klinger. Mary was known for her selfless and inspirational spirit. Her gentle-hearted nature touched the lives of many throughout her lifetime.
Mary grew up in Fairbanks, Iowa, where she completed High School education. Following High School, Mary completed a three year education and got her degree in nursing. Then she began her long career in nursing. Her dedication to the field was evident as she worked tirelessly until the age of 77, providing compassionate care to countless individuals. She was appointed as the Arizona Nurse Ambassador, where she was able to travel to China.
For 35 years, Mary shared a loving marriage with her husband, Robert Bishop. Together, they built a life filled with love.
Mary had a deep love for animals and a passion for drawing. Often creating beautiful nativity scenes every Christmas. Her interests extended to country music and dancing, activities she cherished alongside her family.
A committed member of Holy Cross Church, Mary attended Mass weekly and was deeply involved in her community.
She, along with another nurse, established a health clinic at the church, offering blood pressure checks to members. This act of service was one she continued with joy into her 80s.
Mary is survived by her 2 brothers, Ervin Corcoran and Donald Corcoran, along with many precious nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Parish; 1244 S. Power Rd. Mesa, Arizona 85206. Following the Mass, family asks that you join them for a Celebration of Life gathering from 12:30pm - 2:30pm at Mariposa Gardens; 6747 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, Arizona 85206. Mary will be privately laid to rest with her beloved husband, Robert at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mary Jeanette Bishop leaves behind a legacy of bravery and compassion, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
