Mary Jean Doughty of Gilbert, AZ went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, December 1, 2011. She was born August 15, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert and Ruby Holland. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City until moving to Arizona in 2006. Mary is survived by her husband Richard Doughty of the family home and two children Bill Doughty and Kim Whitaker both of Gilbert; sisters Carol Bollinger and Roberta Holland both of Chandler, AZ; brother James Holland and his wife of Chandler, AZ. Mary also leaves behind 5 grandchildren Amanda Gardner of Gilbert, AZ, William Doughty of Kansas City, MO, Brianna Daugherty of Kansas City, MO, Christopher Gardner of Kansas City, MO, and Shawn Doughty of Kansas City, MO; great grandchildren Bella Doughty, Kaydance Doughty and Lily Doughty all of Kansas City, MO; many nieces and nephew, great nieces and great nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Karen Holland and brother William C. Holland, Sr. Graveside service will be on Friday, December 9, 2011 – 1:30 PM. at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, Arizona.
