Mary Quintana

Mary Miranda Quintana passed peacefully at home on March 20, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Mary was born on December 1, 1929, to Trini and Conrado Miranda in Patagonia Arizona. She was raised in Mesa and Superior and lived in Tempe all her married life. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur, her parents Trini and Conrado, her sisters Lydia, Alice, Helen and brother Conrad Jr. Also, by two grandchildren Rachel and Eric. She is survived by four sons - Arthur Jr, George, David (Daleen), Jerry (Paula) and daughter Aurora and all their families.

Mary was not a stranger to hard work and was an excellent example of her generation’s can-do attitude. As a young child and through her teenage years, she worked along with her siblings, here in Arizona and in California, as a farm laborer. She also worked in clothing and furniture sales. She married her husband Arthur, a WW2 veteran, in 1950. She raised her children with loving care and did her best to instill in them her work and strong family ethics. She created a wonderful home environment and welcomed everyone as family. When all her children were of school age, Mary went to work for the Tempe School District as a Food Service Cook/Manager and retired after 25 years.

Mary will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and all who knew her, but her loving smile will never be forgotten.
