Mary H. Sippel

Mary H. Sippel passed away peacefully on December 27, 2011. She was born February 28, 1917 in Union Springs, AL, the oldest of 7 children. She served in the Women’s Army Corp from 1945 to 1946 as a Medical Technician and Physical Therapy Technician, and remained a very proud WWII Veteran throughout her life. She moved to Arizona in 1947 where she met and married Bob Sippel. She worked many years in the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office and the Pima County Assessor’s Office. In her retirement years, Mary enjoyed friends, family, church and travel. She is survived by her daughter, Liz, a brother, James, and a sister, Ruth; also two grandchildren, Diane and Hoy, and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and son, Charles. Visitation will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd., Mesa, AZ 85202. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 11:00 am at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712.
