Nicholas Andrew Thorne passed away December 6, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona. Nick was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on September 25, 1979. He grew up in Arizona and as a child played the trumpet and loved the outdoors. Nick also enjoyed baseball, wrestling and swimming. He graduated from Gilbert High School in 1997 and proudly served in the US Army, reaching the rank of Sergeant. Although Nick was faced with adversities in his life, he was loved very much and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents Dawn and Gary Thorne; his sister Jessie Portee and his grandmother Vera Thorne. A private family Military Service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
