In Loving Memory Of

Patricia Alice Ploughe, 82, died February 27th, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona. She was born November 16th, 1943, in Windsor, Illinois to Harry Eugene Roby and Geneva Loraine (Shadow) Roby.

Pat moved to Mesa, AZ in 1946 with her young parents and sister. She grew up in Mesa and graduated from Mesa High School in the class of 1962. Not long after, she married her classmate and friend Larry Dwayne Ploughe on August 31st, 1963. In her youthful years, Pat enjoyed participating in the Mesa Junior Women’s League in the 70’s to early 80’s. After initially focusing on raising a family, she worked for Houge Printing in Mesa before moving on to a career in cosmetics and fragrance sales at Diamonds at Tri-City Mall which then was purchased by Dillard’s and subsequently moved operations to the new Fiesta Mall in 1984. Pat understood the importance of a good work ethic and customer service. She ensured her children obtained their first jobs at Dillard’s, keeping family close. She remained in retail sales for about 15 years before leaving to join Riggs North Insurance as a clerk until retiring to the Show Low area in the early 2000’s.

Pat was preceded in death by husband Larry and great-grandchild Leon. She had one sister, Sandra Jean Boyle, who only recently preceded her in death.

Pat is survived by her children Jana Merrill and Michael Ploughe (Julia), six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Immediate family will hold a private life celebration in memory of Pat. With your loving memories of Pat, please sign the online guestbook here on the Dignity Memorial website.
