Ray was a constant presence at the roping box at Minnesota HS Rodeos. I can't imagine how many barrier ropes he pulled for the association. A great cowboy.

Ray was a big part of my wife Debi and my life. He was the production manager at MPI in 1981 in Burnsville and gave us our first opportunities into management. Both of us continued to grow and prosper due to Ray's leg up. In 1988 when I decided to leave MPI, Ray was there to say goodbye and wish me well, telling me he still had a job for me if I wanted to stay. Ray was a cowboy in so many ways, but that maverick attitude is what I will miss most. Sleep peacefully old friend
