Ray E Brown, 91, passed away Tuesday February 16th in Gilbert. Ray was born November 17, 1924 in Hollywood California, where his father worked in the movie industry. His family moved to Chicago where he grew up and put himself through Northwestern University where he graduated with two Master Degrees. His job took him across the country, blessing Ray and Jan with the opportunity to live in several states and ultimately retiring in Arizona.
Ray and his wife Jan (who passed away Feb 2012) believed in philanthropy, touching many lives through Camp Fire, Boy Scouts, their church and supporting underprivileged youth both in the USA and Mexico. Ray played an active role in Boy Scouts for 55 years and was recognized and honored with Scouting Council's Silver Beaver award for the impact made in the lives of youth through service. Ray is survived by his daughters Lynn and Robin (Gene), son David (Wendie) and grandchildren Sarah (Mike), Craig (Nicole), Michael and Caitlin and several great grandchildren.
