He would do projects with his grandchildren and make sure there were plenty of oranges to pick, plants to grow and always a place to stay to come and visit him and Sarah.

He was very proud to be Italian and made sure everyone around him knew it. He loved to help people and looked for ways to make people's lives better. He was an avid walker and enjoyed being with his friends as he walked and talked. He and Sarah traveled the world as long as they were able and their home reflects some of those trips they made. He was always ready for a game of cards and to hear or play a good joke on someone.
When he was younger, he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to encourage people to come to church. He served in many capacities at church and was especially proud of his children and grandchildren serving in missions in various parts of the world.
Bob loved America and served during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps as a cook. He loved to tell of his experiences as a Marine.
Bob and Sarah bought a child care center in 1966 and named it Teaching Centers. Their schools had a reputation for excellence as they always put the children first. By 1986 the had 20 Child Care Centers in the Milwaukee area. Bob served as the President of the National Child Care Administrators Association along with other state and local organizations.
