Robert M. Frohlich (Fro), age 86, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 3, 2015, at his home in Leisure World, Mesa, AZ. Robert was born in Geneva, on August 17, 1928, and was the son of the late Harry and Olive (Enyart) Frohlich. Robert grew up in Batavia, IL and was a resident of Sugar Grove, IL until he retired to Mesa, AZ in 1990. Robert attended Elgin Watchmakers College and operated a jewelry and watch repair store in Batavia and Aurora for several years before he went to work for the IBM Corporation in the mid-1950s. Robert retired from the Office Products division of IBM Corporation after more than 25 years of service. Robert was a man of many talents and interests: watch and clock making, jewelry making and woodworking were his passions as well as being an airplane pilot in his youth. He was a United States Navy veteran and served during World War II. Survivors include his sister, Joyce of Texas, his children, Kristine (Richard) Frielink of Kaneville, Robert (Karen) Frohlich, Jr. of Alabama, Jeffery Frohlich of Naperville and James (Liz) Frohlich of Sugar Grove. Robert is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew (Becky) Frielink, Adam Frielink, John Frohlich, Angela (John) Cook, Pamela Birchfield and Krissy Frohlich and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Lou; his brother, Harry Jr.; and sons, Jeffery Miller and Larry Miller. Memorial services will be held in the Spring. Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Sugar Grove, IL.
