

Rosalie (Dzuris) Hernandez, born in Westfield, Mass. in September 1941, and graduated Westfield High School in 1959. Rose joined the United States Army immediately after high school. While in the Army, she met Victor Hernandez, whom she married in December, 1960 enjoying over 50 years of marriage. Between 1962 and 1967, she gave birth to three children in three different states. The family settled in St. Louis, Mo. where she supported her children in every endeavor they chose. She also followed her passion and became a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Rose passed away after a long battle with lung cancer on May 27th, 2011. She was surrounded by her husband, children and extended family.
Rose was a very loving wife and an incredible mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband Victor, sons Paul (Nila) and John (Mary), daughter Simona Fehrle (Tony), grandchildren, Cassandra Carmickle (Nick), Brian Fehrle, Michael Fehrle, Alexis Hernandez and great-grandchildren, Simona and Camryn Carmickle. Her many friends insist Rose was the epitome of a woman who spoke her mind with absolute passion – and they loved her even more because of it.
