

Born on September 14, 1943, in Ada, Oklahoma, Roy spent his life deeply connected to his roots and his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Lydia Creel; his children, Andy Creel, Lance Creel (Justine), Angela Bombard (Dan), and Julieta McCutchan (Ryan); his eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
His family was his pride and joy, and he found endless happiness in watching them grow and thrive. Roy is also survived by his beloved dog, Rufus, who was his faithful companion and source of comfort.
Throughout his career, Roy worked at Ameron, dedicating many years of hard work and commitment until his well-deserved retirement. In his younger years, he was an avid water skier, taking to the lakes with enthusiasm and skill. He held a special love for trips back to Oklahoma, where he and his family enjoyed countless camping adventures that created lifelong memories.
Roy was also a passionate fan of college softball and a devoted supporter of the Green Bay Packers, always ready to cheer on his favorite teams.
Roy will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of kindness, passion, and love for his family will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A visitation for Roy will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 South Dobson Road, Mesa, AZ 85202, followed by a funeral service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
