Morriss, (Cordelia) Ruth of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday September, 8, 2014 in Chandler, Arizona. She was born in Dallas, Texas on July 3, 1920 and grew up in York, Alabama before moving to Tempe, Arizona in 1970. She was married to James H. Morris in 1941 and they shared 57 wonderful years together. She is proceeded in death by her husband, sister Odessa Witt (Dallas, Texas), brother Ernie Barker (Grand Rapids, Michigan), and parents Maggie & Ernest Barker (Dallas, Texas). She is survived by sister Maxie Fry (Dallas, Texas), daughter Colleen Howard and son-in-law Ken Howard (Mesa, Arizona), grandchildren Melissa Maldonado (Jeffrey) and Nicholas Howard, and five great grandchildren Emma, River, Autumn, Ethan, and Morgan. Services will be held at 2 o’clock on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Lakeshore Mortuary in Mesa.
