Shirley A. Barth passed away in a nursing home in Scottsdale on November 8, 2015 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Louise Johnson, her husband Claude A. Barth, and her daughter Claudia L. Barth. She is survived by her son, Eric A. Barth (Anne Moss) of San Antonio, Texas, devoted son-in-law Larry Sisk of Scottsdale and grandson, Carl Barth of San Antonio, Texas. Shirley was born on February 5, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota and grew up in Minnesota and Iowa. She graduated from high school in Central City, Iowa and attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa. After her marriage in 1947 she lived in Iowa and in a number of states, her husband having entered a career in the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. In 1985, Shirley and her husband Claude returned to Arizona and lived in the community of Leisure World in Mesa, where they lived for many years. No funeral services have been planned.
