It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Stephan Andrew Pejlovas, who departed this life suddenly and unexpectedly on the morning of July 4, 2025, in Arizona. He was 64 years old.
Stephan was born on May 7, 1961, in Passaic, New Jersey, the second child of Louis and Paula Pejlovas, Hungarian immigrants who came to America following the 1956 uprising. When Stephan was just a year old, his family moved across the country to Southern California, where he would spend over 40 years of his life.
Stephan embraced the outdoors and found joy and peace in nature—especially near the ocean. He loved surfing, water skiing, biking, and being anywhere under the open sky. His energy and personality were larger than life, and he made friends easily and kept them close.
For over 25 years, Stephan was a dedicated business partner with his father and brothers. Later in life, he earned his associate’s degree and became a licensed realtor, proudly serving his clients for several years. In 2004, he relocated his family to Florida for a new chapter, before ultimately settling in Arizona to be close to his extended family.
Stephan was married for about 15 years—a union he cherished deeply. Though the marriage eventually ended in divorce, the love and memories from that chapter remained close to his heart.
After the passing of his father in 2014, Stephan took on the role of caregiver to his beloved mother, Paula. He cared for her with deep compassion and unwavering commitment—always putting her needs before his own.
Stephan is survived by his son Maxwell and daughter Alexa, his mother Paula, his brothers Louis and John, his sisters-in-law Melissa, Michelle, and Jody, his brother-in-law Joe, his nephews Louis III, Aaron, and Danny, his nieces Mia and Allyson, his grandchildren Texi and Hendrix, his great-nephews Louis IV, Oliver, Hudson, Ford, and Elijah, and his great-niece Charlotte.
Stephan’s faith in Jesus Christ was firm and sincere. He believed in our Savior, the Creator, and the guiding presence of the Holy Spirit. We pray that God welcomes Stephan into eternal peace and that his soul finds rest and joy in His presence.
His passing is a heartbreaking loss for all who knew and loved him. We will miss his laughter, his strength, and his generous spirit more than words can express.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, Arizona.
All who knew and loved Stephan are welcome to come and honor his life.
A celebration of life gathering will be announced in the near future. Family and friends will be notified once plans are finalized.
