Sorry to hear about the death of Steven. I didn't know much about him after he moved away but I read about his Catholic faith and being a member of  the Knights of Columbus. He wa a great  butcher to be working for Zito,s market.

Steve you so wonderful for being the Nextdoor neighbor to the mom and dad’s  you  showed so much with all of us. You and Barb made me feel special. My you rest in peace my friend.and Hugs and prayers to you Barb🙏

This picture was taken in Tonto National Forest in October 2019,  To me, it captures the essence of Steve and Barb as an amazing couple who never hesitated to show their love for each other and those around them, and who always welcomed you with open arms and heart. 

Steve had a life well-lived, filled with purpose and integrity.  I will always remember him in the kitchen, his booming voice filling the room with laughter, as he made amazing dishes of food. He had a passion for cooking, and loved to share that passion.  Even when too far away to share his recent culinary creations, he would always be available to answer a question or help with a recipe.

Steve nurtured close relationships.  I will miss his occasional phone calls, checking in to see how things were going, sharing a funny story, or commiserating over a recent headline. 

Barb, my thoughts and prayers are with you, and I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.  Please know that you have been an inspiration over these past years, showing all of us your great love while caregiving.

We have had the extreme pleasure of growing up knowing Barb and Steve as an honorary Aunt and Uncle.  Whenever we would visit my grandparents, we would also often visit Barb and Steve. Steve, with no question, insisted you came over to swim and then afterwards you would be trying his latest food invention, which was always amazing. Steve also seemed to have lots of random projects he’d be working on, most of them outside and somehow he would convince us to help him with them and surprisingly, they didn’t seem like work because he was always such a fun person to hang with. 

After moving to Arizona, we have had multiple great meals with Barb and Steve around the valley, went on an adventure to the Goldfield Ghost Town and they have visited the many homes we have moved to over the years. 

My favorite phrase Steve would say was, “Get Outta Here” with his amazing East Coast accent. He would say this as a form of disbelief or shock like essentially, “dang, you’re crazy”. He said that to me many times, especially because of the amount of times I have moved around the valley. Despite the crazy moves and distances, Barb and Steve still took the time to visit, which meant a lot to us.  

Steve will be sorely missed and we will always remember his sense of humor, generosity and caring nature.

So sorry to read of Steve’s passing. Steve was a wonderful person and after meeting him just once you would always remember him as he was such a personable individual 
We had many laughs while at Bishop Feehan, probably more than the Sisters of Mercy want to recall
So glad that you and Steve were able to travel to the Grist Mills for our class luncheon, I know that was a Herculean effort for both of you, it meant so much to all of us to see him again

Steve you always had a great sense of humor and a big smile on your face. your jokes would always light up any room. I'll always remember when you had all the birds and one had died and you said he was taking a "dirt nap" and I said "what" and you said " I had to bury him he passed" and again his humor came out.
Your passion for rescuing the older and less fortunate dogs at the shelter was amazing.
It was a great visit in August at Mike and Bev's , so glad we were all able to get together one last time.
I'll always remember our get togethers at the beach in South Carolina your meals were simply the best.
You fought a great battle with Barbara at your side the whole way now it's time to rest in peace Zeke and don't cause to much ruckus up there in Heaven! Much Love  Patty and Tony

Barbara, so very sad to hear of Steve's  passing,  our hearts go out to you and your family.  He was an incredible life force  and  we will cherish all the fond memories  of  happier times,  Sincerely,  Tina and Steve

The greatest times of our lives were shared with Steven and Barbara. Barbara words will never express how we feel about both of you and we will always remember Steven and the times we shared. Steven and David are once again tossing the football and making their award winning green chile. Steven was the best uncle to my kids who will forever have the warmest memories of many holidays and birthdays spent with their Uncle Steven and Aunt Barbara.

Barb and Steve, were our parents neighbors, and as my sister said they quickly became a part of our family and welcomed all of us as well.  Joining us at Estes Park, Halloween parties and much more. Steve always had a beautiful smile on his face and a great laugh.  His talents in the kitchen never disappointed! He was even willing to share some of his recipes, his famous green chili, funnel cake and other tasty treats as well.  Barb we are sorry for your loss as we know how remarkably close the two of you were.. please know you are in our thoughts and prayers, Thinking of Steve will always warm my heart. Rest in peace!

Only the best of memories come to mind in regard to Steve.
Steve and Barb were next door neighbors to my parents  in Colorado.
They quickly were part of the Nielsen Family welcoming all the kids (13) at the time to enjoy cooking  bbq’s and of course swimming. 
STEVE talked us into getting a pool …
He took on the task of  going to get  it, setting it up and all the instructions.  Great advise we had the pool for over thirty years. 
He hired my kids to pull weeds,  help with shopping, cooking the  payment?  
Go ahead and jump the fence and swim!
Steve will forever be in my heart and will be so so missed. Thankyou Steve for being in a wonderful chapter in my life.

Steve had a great sense of humor. We'll always remember all the fun and humor he brought to our family. He was a great chef and we all enjoyed his culinary skills. He did tend to create hot dishes so you had to be careful!!! He and Barbara were always generous donating time during the holidays serving at food venues for the less fortunate people . Barb and Zeke fought his disease head on . Thanks to my sister's medical history he survived his disease much longer than if he wasn't treated at home. They did travel and enjoyed all their ventures even up to not that long ago going to Alaska and thru the Panama Canal. We were so fortunate that they came home to Massachusetts in August and it was a great visit .  Rest in peace Zeke and don't get yourself into too much trouble up there in heaven.  much love Beth and Dave

Barbara thank you for being the best wife ever. I  miss his humor he would call me and make me laugh every time. I was proud to say he was my brother. When I went to Bishop Feehan everyone would say are you Steven Ezyk’s sister I said yes I am. I went to all his football games one game he was running down the field for a touchdown and got it I started crying he said why are you crying I said I am so proud of you he laughed. I love you brother and will miss you so. Say hi to the family. Until I see you again . Love Lisa  💜🙏

My very deepest condolences to the entire family. 

Steve and Barb were first my neighbors and then and most importantly my friends.  Steve was so kind and thoughtful, he would make the most wonderful food, share it, and looked out for the neighbors when in town, never asking for anything in return.  I so admire the wonderful life he and Barb had together, filled with love for each other, their family, and friends, a true example of a life well-lived. He will be missed and remembered fondly.

It is with great sadness that I write this condolence.  Steve certainly gave a good fight, with Barb at his side every second of this battle. From the start of  Bishop Feehan High School in 1966  to our 73rd birthday celebration, Steve always had a smile on his handsome face.
