

Steven was born on September 23, 1951 in Cranston, RI. He graduated from Bishop Feehan High School in 1970, where he excelled in football. Steven was a member of the Bishop Feehan and Attleboro Area Hall of Fames. After high school he went on to play football at Cisco Junior College in Texas and then at Southern Colorado Community College (nka University of So. Colorado). Steven began his career in the Food and Beverage Industry. He was a very successful sales representative and then moved up to be the National MEM Supervisor for Unique Beverage Concepts, LLC (Siberian Chill based in Kentucky). Steven travelled all over the United States and loved what he did. He never met a stranger and, as such, had friends all over the country.
Steven’s passion was cooking for family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Steven also enjoyed his membership in the Knights of Columbus for over 27 years starting when he lived in Colorado. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Apache Junction, AZ.
He was a truly selfless and an unbelievably generous person. Steven and his wife, Barbara, enjoyed life with many trips and excursions along their 51+ years together.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Barrows Ezyk. Brothers: William (Ethel) Gurn and Tommy (Lisa) Ezyk. Sisters: Nancy (Steve) Hilton and Lisa (Paul) Henault. He is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as other beloved family members and many dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley Ezyk and Vivian Gurn Ezyk, and brothers Richard Ezyk, Ronald Ezyk, and Robert Gurn and nephew Robert Gurn Jr.
Visitation and refreshments will be from 3pm to 7pm, Tuesday, November 25th, at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 400 S Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206.
A Rosary and Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 26, at St George Roman Catholic Church, 300 E 16th Ave, Apache Junction, 85119, starting at 10:00 AM.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Attleboro, Massachusetts in spring, 2026.
