

Susan was born on July 25, 1958, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to parents Lawrence and Sophie Landowski (Bazan). She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin in 1976 and attended Rio Salado College in Tempe, Arizona. Surnames used by Susan include Meronk, Brittan, Crinklaw, Hart, Schneider, and Landowski.
Susan led a vibrant and varied life, wearing many hats over the years. She worked as a realtor, medical assistant, restaurant manager, corrections officer, TSA agent, and bank teller, among other roles. Her resilience and adaptability shone through as she navigated these diverse careers.
Susan is survived by two sons; Todd Hart of Friendship, Wisconsin, and Robbie Hart of Gilbert, Arizona; her daughter Jennifer Simpson (Hart) of Mesa, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and her sister Linda Ewert (Landowski) of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Karen Landowski, and her brother, Duane Landowski.
Susan had a spirited personality. She was known for her feisty and funny demeanor, often bringing laughter to those around her. Despite facing numerous challenges, including a stroke that she remarkably survived a decade ago and a battle with cancer in her final days, she remained a symbol of resilience.
A lover of animals, Susan almost always had a dog and cats, often taking in strays and giving them a loving home. She also enjoyed keeping horses and owned several throughout her lifetime. Her compassion for animals was one of her defining traits.
Though her life was marked by many changes, Susan's ability to make friends wherever she went was a testament to her lively spirit. She will be remembered for her humor, strength, and the love she had for her pets.
Per Susan's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter or rescue organization in Susan’s name.
