

Wayne P. "Tim" Dordell, age 73 St. Paul Attorney Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, in Mesa, AZ, on Friday, March 4, 2011, due to complications from Parkinson's disease. Preceded in death by his parents and step-father, George P. Dordell, Jeanne C. and Paul F. Heuser, and his parents-in-law, Rev. Merland T. and Evelyn I. Johnson. Survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla A. Dordell, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on December 17, 2010; children Timothy P. Dordell (Golden Valley, MN), Robyn A. Bedgood (Gilbert, AZ) and Christoffer J. Dordell (San Francisco, CA) and their spouses; and grandchildren Mackenzie A. Bedgood and Zachary J. Bedgood. Graduate of Alexander Ramsey High School ('55), St. Olaf College ('59), and William Mitchell College of Law ('63). Longtime managing partner of Hansen, Dordell, Bradt, Odlaug & Bradt, PLLP. Distinguished legal career, as trusted adviser, creative counselor, skilled litigator and passionate advocate, across a remarkably broad spectrum of practice areas. Decades-long service to a cherished client, the Degree of Honor Protective Association, a national fraternal life insurance society, as General Counsel, Board member, and Honorary Board Member Emeritus at the time of his death. In addition, Tim was an active and engaged citizen, including service on Board of Trustees, Como Park Lutheran Church; General Counsel, Lyngblomsten Foundation; Commissioner, Shoreview Parks and Recreation; Founder and Charter President, North Suburban Evening Lions Club. In his retirement years, he found his greatest joy on the sun-drenched sports fields of Arizona, watching his grandchildren compete in soccer and baseball games. The Dordell family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the dedicated and compassionate professionals at Banner Gateway Medical Center, Mission Palms of Mesa Health and Rehabilitation Center, and Evercare Hospice and Palliative Care. A public Memorial Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration of Life will be held at Como Park Lutheran Church, with Minnesota friends, this summer.
