Willie Cameron

Willie Cameron passed away Feb. 9, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona. Willie was born in Vicksburg, MS on Sept. 10, 1931 to Charles King and Pearlie May Deace Cameron. One of his fondest memories was fishing on Eagle Lake. He joined the United States Air Force in 1948. After basic training he was stationed at Williams Air Force Base for three years. Willie married the love of his life Nellie Conerly, April 15, 1955. He received an honorable discharge on November 1st 1972. Shortly following his discharge he worked for the postal service for 20 years.

Willie is preceded in death by his father and mother, and son, Willie Cameron Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife Nellie Conerly Cameron; Sons Wesley (Joyce) Cameron and Larry Cameron; daughters Diane (Clarence) Willis and Devotion Cameron. Additionally he is survived by a host of grand children and great grand children.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 17th at 9am followed by Funeral Services at 10:00am at the Great Bethel A.M.E. Church, 7040 S. 40th St., Phoenix, AZ 85040. Interment will follow at Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler, AZ.
