

Billy Wayne Crossley of Athens, Texas entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2016 in Mesquite, Texas. Billy was born on December 3, 1948 to parents Woodrow Lafayette Crossley and Rosie Lee Parker. Billy spent over 30 years employed as a self-employed Repo Man and was known by many of his friends and colleagues as “Big Daddy.” He had a lot of hobbies he enjoyed, but what he loved most besides providing for his family was fishing with his children. Billy’s family describes him as a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He could light up a room just by walking in to it, he was very charismatic, out-going and there was never anyone in his life he met that was a stranger. Billy touched the lives and hearts of a great many people and he will be greatly missed. Billy is preceded in death by his father Woodrow Lafayette Crossley; sister Patricia Ann Furrh; and great-granddaughter Emery Kay Crossley. Billy is survived by his mother Rosie Lee Parker-Hyde; brother Charles Cottrell & wife Wanda; sister Myrtus Burt; sons Johnny Wayne Crossley & wife Darleen and Woody Lee Crossley & wife Kristy; daughter Kelly Crossley & wife Jolene; grandsons Jonathan Crossley & wife Christian and Joseph Crossley & wife Ashley; granddaughters Allyssa Crossley, Analysia Gonzalez, Kaylee Jo Crossley, Jasmine Brozak, and Shelby Walker; and six great-grandchildren.
