Charles Albert Holland Jr, age 64 passed away at his residence in Dallas on November 9, 2017. He was born October 23, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK to Charles Albert Sr. and Juanita Holland. Charles lived his boyhood in Oklahoma City and Mesquite, TX where he attended North Mesquite High School before going into the US Navy and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He recently retired from the City of Dallas Marshal’s office where he was a corrections officer. Charles enjoyed living life to the fullest. He enjoyed cooking, Masonry, and being a Shriner, but his greatest joy was his children and grandchildren. He became a Mason on September 11, 1995 and on April 23, 1996 became a Master Mason. He served his lodge for many years and eventually became the Master of the Lodge. His lodge honored him with the Golden Trowel which is the highest award for his many years of hard work and dedication to Masonry. As a Shriner, He was forever known as “Tugboat the Clown” where he continued his work and love for children as a member of the world’s largest organization which dedicates their time in helping burned and crippled children. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Juanita Holland; sister Mary Jane McVay, and nephew Clifford “CJ” Holland. He is survived by his beloved wife Judy Holland, whom he married on December 7, 1987 and the couple had three children. Tiffney Truelove Abron of Dallas, TX, Brian Truelove of Manhattan, NY and Christopher Charles Holland of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his son in law Carlton Abron; grandchildren Tiara Truelove, Anthony Matlock, Nevaeh Abron and Zariah Abron; great grandson De’Erin Truelove; sister Donna Madras of Louisville, KY; brother Clifford and wife Lisa Holland; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
