

Dwain Leslie Jenkins, age 87, passed away on March 13, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on January 26, 1934 in Melissa, Texas to Emmett Jenkins and Ella Roberts. Dwain was raised in Melissa, Texas, and graduated from McKinney High School in 1951. He married Martha Dell Phillips in 1959, and the couple have two sons.
Dwain built a successful career in management spanning many years. He worked as a Production Manager at Victor Costa, Inc., where he was employed for more than 15 years. He began in the garment industry as manager of the cutting department with Schrader Sports Wear, and then took over as Production and Property Manager for Victor Costa for about 15 years. He then went into business as an Independent Production Consultant before retiring on disability.
Dwain was an involved member of his community, acting as the Director of White Rock Center of Hope, being ordained as a Deacon at Casa View Baptist in 1988; active with Casa View Baptist Men; serving as Chief Cook on many mission trips; and serving at Casa View Baptist as a Lay Leader in various capacities over the years.
In his spare time, Dwain enjoyed fishing, traveling, woodworking, and he loved to cook. His family will always remember him as a loving and caring husband and father who always put his family first. Dwain’s friends will remember him for his delicious pies, peanut brittle and peanut patties.
Dwain is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Jenkins and Ella Roberts Jenkins; father and mother-in-law, C.M. and Blanche Phillips; brother, Charles Jenkins and daughter-in-law, Melissa Dean Jenkins.
Left to cherish his memory, are his wife of 61+ years, Martha Phillips Jenkins; sons, Kevin Jenkins and Barry Jenkins and wife, Shelly; sister-in-law, Margie Jenkins; grandchildren, Haley Jenkins, Hannah Jenkins, and Benjamin Jenkins; and numerous nephews and nieces, whom he loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the Shiloh Terrace Capital Fund, the Hauser Missions Fund or the Texas Baptist Men.
