On Thursday, July 1, 2021, Phyllis “Penny” Rodriguez, loving mother of four, children, passed away at the age of 70. Phyllis was born on February 19, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert M. Rodriguez.
She is survived by her four children, Gilbert, Johnny, Priscilla, and Laura, and several beloved grandchildren. Penny loved to cook and was known for her award-winning strawberry jam. She enjoyed crocheting and creating all sorts of crafts, including creating her own cookbooks with her recipes.
She was ambitious, driven, and determined to give her children a better life. She studied and mastered her certification that led to her career in banking, starting at the Federal Reserve Bank and retiring at Bank of America.
