Georgie Lee Glidewell of Dallas TX went to receive her Heavenly reward on May 19, 2025. She was daughter of Nona Maye Bird and Jim Avery Bird of Dallas TX, born on December 22, 1946. At the age of 16 she married the love of her life Herbert Dale Glidewell on February 9,1963. Sis.
Georgie loved the Lord with all of her heart, and taught her children and grandchildren to serve the Lord through the life she lived, actively serving in the churches she attended including Farmer's Branch Church of God, Lewisville Church of God, and The Springs where she currently held membership.
She was welcomed into her heavenly home by Georgie Shields whom she was proudly named after and taught her to be a Godly woman, her parents Jim and Nona Bird, Son Charles, Sister Ann Hullett, Granddaughter Amanda Rincker and best friend Judy Blake. She leaves behind to cherish her memories husband Herbert Glidewell, children Wendy and James Rincker of Waldron Arkansas, Timothy Glidewell of Plano Texas, Michelle and Mike Jones of Plano Texas, Jason and LeAnn Glidewell of Quinlan Texas and Taylor and Kenneth Oliver of Holdenville Oklahoma. She took pride in being the grandmother (Nanny) to 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Along with numerous siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, church family and friends that will always remember her life here on Earth. The immediate family will be receiving friends and extended family at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home on Wednesday May 21, 2025 at 4pm-8pm. A celebration of Life Service will be held at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez at 1 pm with Pastor Melvin Spears and Bishop James D. Binion officiating. Her pallbearers, all of her Grandchildren will be Justin, Michael, Cody, Nick, JD, Colton, Jesse and Jimmy. Honorary pallbearers are Gracie, Bekki, Kaylee, Maquel, Misty, Aleeah, Rhiannon, Kevin, Landon, Cord, Coye and Charlie.
