

Jerry William Lambeth, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born January 1, 1947 in Durant, Oklahoma to Johnny B. Lambeth and Bertha Ermon Polston Lambeth. Jerry was raised in Durant, Oklahoma and graduated from Durant High School and then served as an Army Sergeant stationed in Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam conflict for seven years. He married Teruko Taira in 1969 and the couple had two children. Jerry worked as a technician for the City of Dallas Water Utilities for more than 30 years.
In his spare time Jerry enjoyed electronics, woodworking, metalwork, tinkering, fishing, hunting, working on cars and any DIY project. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend and a jack of all trades.
Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny ‘Hotshot’ Lambeth; father, Johnny B. Lambeth; mother, Bertha Ermon Lambeth; brother, Eddie ‘Pokey’ Lambeth; son, Johnny Andrew Lambeth and niece, Donna Lambeth. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Teruko Lambeth; son, James Lambeth and wife, Mary; daughter-in-law, Alexandra Hawarden Lambeth; grandchildren, Samantha Lambeth, Ryan Lambeth, William Lambeth, Anabel Hawarden; sister, Jeanette Robinson and husband, Dwight; sisters, Janie Reynolds and Carol Ballew and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A committal service will occur Monday, March 25, 2024 at 9:15 AM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211.
