So sorry to hear of John's passing. Joyce sand I send our prayers and love to the Hammes Family - Theresa, Joe, Riley, Chris, Jeremy, his brother James and the extended family.

Joyce and I saw this young man grow up and enjoyed the times we were able to go with his Mom and Dad to watch him pitch his baseball games.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

John's precious Dad, Mom, John  and brothers Bill and James.  Uncle Jack and Aunt Marie were the best and raised some great young men.

That's the young man we watched grow up and become a fine man, husband, parent and grandparent.  He will be sorely missed by all.  Prayers to his family and all extended family members - Theresa, Joe III, Chris, Jeremy, Riley and his brother James.

I’m so sorry for the loss of Dear John. I’ve known John for over 25 years. He was my Supervisor at Garland North Station Post Office. John will forever be THE BEST Supervisor I have ever had. He was always so nice. He treated his employees with nothing but Love and Respect and always went above and beyond. Thank You Mr. Hammes for your Amazing Service. You will truly be missed. May God comfort you all during this very difficult time.

To John’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked very closely with John at the North Station Post Office in Garland and I have never worked with anyone who was as kind and caring to his employees as John. A good man gone too soon.
