Joyce led a full life. Masterful at shorthand and dictation, she began a 42-year career with the US Dept of Agriculture. She traveled extensively, and successfully raised two daughters, sometimes alone.
She was tough and loved others fiercely, and all that was wrapped around a soft, warm sensitivity that made her so very special. She loved country music, wind chimes, needlework and walks on the beach. She was also a proud grandmother who doted on her only grandson.
She is survived by daughters Karen Larson MD and Laura Malone Pruett, grandson Jacob Lane Pruett, and many friends.
