OBITUARY

Michael Lee Hibbert

19 July, 1974 – 9 December, 2021
IN THE CARE OF

Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home

Michael Lee Hibbert was born in Dallas, TX, on July 19, 1974, to Mike Lee Hibbert and Louwana Hibbert Cruson. Michael received his early education in the Dallas Independent School District. At an early age Michael discovered his love for all things sports related. However, soccer is where he shined the most. At the age of thirteen, Michael moved to Atlanta, GA with his father, where he furthered his education. One of his greatest accomplishments took place on April 14, 2004, when he became a proud father to Lauryn Elizabeth Hibbert. Michael also earned his CDL license and pursued a career with Lattimore Materials Corp. for over fifteen years. He would later relocate back to his hometown, Dallas, TX, to reunite with his family, friends, and “Dem Boyz” (The Dallas Cowboys).

On November 26, 2017, he married his soulmate, Stephanie Hooks. From this union he was blessed with three bonus children: Skyy, Sha’ Darrion, and Myles. Michael also had a strong love for the Lord! As a member of Full Table of Fellowship Church, he believed in the power of prayer, and he walked in a spirit of humbleness.

Michael was preceded in death by his father Mike Lee Hibbert, his grandfather Omega Jene Hibbert, his grandmother Alma Lee Hibbert and his brother-in-law Dannis Hooks. Michael leaves behind to celebrate his life and mourn his passing: his loving wife Stephanie Hooks-Hibbert of Dallas, TX; his beloved daughter Lauryn Elizabeth Hibbert of Atlanta, GA; his darling mother Louwana Hibbert-Cruson (Alvin/Chip) of Dallas, TX; three bonus children Skyy Lee, Sha’ Darrion Rakestraw, and Myles Hooks all of Dallas, TX; one sister Tanya Holden of Dallas, TX; one brother Christopher Cruson (Elicia) of Dallas, TX; one uncle Gary Renfroe (Desirae): four nephews Casey Holden, Shane Holden, Skyler Cruson, and Tyler Hollan all of Dallas, TX; one niece Allie Cruson of Dallas, TX and a host of other family and friends.

We would also like to acknowledge the remaining matriarchs of the Hibbert family, his aunt Diane McCallom of Little Elm, TX, and a special recognition to his bonus aunts Cassandra (Pikey) Hooks and Pansy Johnson of Dallas, TX.
