

Phyllis was born on July 16, 1931, in Dallas, Texas and was welcomed into the loving home of Leonard and Edith Price and was a blessing they were forever grateful for. She grew up in Dallas and carried a deep love for her faith and family throughout her life.
In 1952, Phyllis married the love of her life, E.D. Richey. Their marriage was one of devotion and commitment, and they shared many wonderful years together until his passing on March 25, 2014.
Phyllis was a longtime and faithful member of Berean Baptist Church, which later became Lakepointe Church in Sunnyvale. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in worship and fellowship with her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.D. Richey; her son, E.D. Richey, Jr.; and her grandson, Matt Canon.
Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Randy Richey and wife Debbie of McKinney, and Don Richey and wife Stephanie of Mesquite. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Jordan Richey of Mesquite and Shelby Williams and husband Mello Williams; and her great-grandsons, Dane Williams, Logan Dieter, and Lincoln Williams, all of Mesquite.
Phyllis will be remembered for her loving heart, her steadfast faith, and the devotion she showed to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Lakepointe Church in Sunnyvale, Texas. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Phyllis’s life and the lasting impact she had on those who loved her.
