Ruby Dene Thomas

R. D. Thomas Age 74, passed away March 20, 2017 in Garland, TX. She was born on March 25, 1942 in Gurdon, Arkansas to Willie Leon Perry and Wilma Pugh Perry. She was raised in Gurdon, Arkansas and graduated from Camden High School in 1960. She was a book keeper and a tax preparer all her life. She also worked as a hostess at Denny’s in Garland for a few years. D was a very warm hearted, thoughtful, giving person who loved being involved in a children’s school. She was active in the PTA and Boy Scouts of America. She was a room mother, chaperoned several field trips and organized fund raisers. She enjoyed making macramé, plant holders, cross stitching, crochet, bowling and dancing. She is preceded in death by her ex-spouse, Sam Boswell, Father, Willie Leon Perry; Mother, Wilma Pugh Perry; Sister-in-law, Loretta Perry; Nephew, Danny Payne; Cousin, Leonard Gill. She is survived by: Daughter, Sue Harris; Son, Kelly Boswell; Siblings, William “Buckle” Perry of Bartlett, TN., Lou Purifoy of Plano, TX, Loie Perry & Sue Fogle of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
