Shirley Fay Hilliard

Shirley Fay Hilliard passed away at the age of 73 on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Mesquite, Texas. Shirley was born August 22, 1943 in Valley Mills, Texas to Oscar Raymond and Lillie Amundson Evans. Shirley grew up in Valley Mills, Walnut Springs and Dallas. She graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in Dallas, Texas.

She married the love of her life; Don Wayne Hilliard in 1967 and they had two sons; Bryan and Jason. Shirley was a legal secretary and worked with Attorney James Poland for many years. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church and singing in the choir. She was a very sweet, loving and kind person with a very giving heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Oscar Raymond and Lillie Amundson Evans, and husband; Don Wayne Hilliard, her brothers; Arthur Edwin Evans and Alvis James Evans sisters; Edna Fern Lancaster and Bonnie Jo Charles

Shirley is survived by her son; Bryan and wife Rhonda, son; Jason and wife Ana, grandchildren; Ashlee, Bailey, Ana Paula, Morgan, Luis, Brayden and Armando and sister; Joye Kahler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will take place at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home on Friday, February 3, 2017 between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM

A Funeral Service will be held the morning of Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with a burial to follow at 12:30 PM at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite, Texas.

Friends and family are invited back to Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home after she is laid to rest for light refreshments.
