Virgil Lawler

7 June, 196024 April, 2021

Virgil R. Lawler, age 60, passed away on April 24th in Chandler, Texas. He was born on June 7, 1960 in Noblesville, Indiana to Fred Frank Lawler and Barbara Ann Chandler. Virgil was raised predominantly in and around Dallas, Texas, with short stints in Kentucky and Indiana. He attended Skyline High School in Dallas. Virgil was a commercial/industrial electrician whose work took him across many parts of the country. He enjoyed building hot rods, whether on four wheels, two wheels or on the water. His family believes his behavior is the likely reason guardian angels now receive hazard pay. He will be remembered by most that knew him as a hard-working family man with a sense of humor. Virgil was preceded in death by both parents, his brothers James A. Tipping and Elmer C. Tipping, and his sister Pamela Tuitupou. He is survived by his sons Jonathan D. Lawler of Tyler, Texas and Gabriel R. Lawler of Dragoon, Arizona.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the Multipurpose Building at Cross Brand Cowboy Church, 11915 FM2015, Tyler, Texas on Saturday, May 8th at 10 A.M. Burial will be at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.

I was blessed to have worked with him in victoria texas about 3 years ago as his son journeymen. I myself knew his son was very young and green as I was still very fresh as a journeymen. I could tell right away his son got his good nature and respect traits from virgil. He always seemed to know how to help me and make me calm down too. I'm thankful I was able to have his presence in my life. My family sends their respects. Here's to you Virgil may god have mercy on the other occupants of heaven now that your walking the clouds.... Amen.
