She retired from the American Red Cross where she worked for more than 20 years as an RN.
In her spare time she enjoyed genealogy and discovering things about her family.
She is preceded in death by her two children Timothy Wayne Carmichael and Cynthia Ann (aka Tahoma Ironfeather); and her husband Roscoe (Bill) Carmichael; and brother Ramon (Dan) Mallow.
Virginia is survived by her grandson Christopher Ramon Carmichael; nieces Faye Price and husband Howard, and Mollye Watson; nephews Danny (Troll) Mallow, Steve Mallow, and Carl Staffel.
