He married Celesse Smith in 1953 and the couple had four children. He was a machinist at LTV Aerospace where he worked for 35 years. In his spare time Bill enjoyed collecting, shooting, and building guns, and was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Bill machined parts for the original space shuttle, and was very sought after by law enforcement and competition shooters for his gun smithing skills. He would have listed his greatest accomplishment as a witness for the Lord.
His family and friends will always remember him as a devout Christian.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Celesse, four children, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
