Alfred Eugene Walters, Sr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 52 years to Patricia Daigle Walters. Loving father of Alfred Jr., David (Laurie), and Michael (Laurie) Walters. Grandfather of Andrew, Allison and Noah Walters, and Adam and Zachary Alleman. Son of the late Irene Giesemann Walters and Henry Joseph Walters, Sr. Brother of the late Henry J. Walters, Jr. and Miriam W. Loar. He was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Altar Society. Age 73 years. A native of New Orleans and a resident of River Ridge for the past 43 years. In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations to ARC, 925 S. Labarre Road Metairie, LA 70001, preferred. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 11 am, on Monday, October 18, 2010, at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 10021 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge. Visitation from 10 – 11 am at the church. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements by Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
