Alice Pieper Henry passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018. She was born on December 21, 1930 in Skyler County Brooklyn, Illinois. Alice was the daughter of Walter and Mary Leffers Pieper and one of seven children. She has now rejoined her late husband, Frank B. Henry Jr., in their heavenly home. Alice was an avid gardener, floral arranger and seamstress. She devoted much of her time to volunteer work at Parkway Presbyterian Church and the Westminster Towers Assisted Living. She and her husband Frank traveled extensively and especially enjoyed going on cruises. Alice was the devoted mother of three children; Dawn Henry Counts, John “JJ” Henry (Lisa) and Michael Henry (Mary). Grandmother of Nicole Counts, Andrew “Drew” Henry, JoAnn Henry, Sarah Henry Walsh, Eric Humble, Katy Humble and Sean Henry. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial Service at Parkway Presbyterian Church, 6200 Camphor St. Metairie, Louisiana 70003 on Tuesday, November 20th at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in Memorial Garden at church.
