Mr. Barry Joseph Naquin

Barry was born on April 22, 1963. He was a native of Norco, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Destrehan, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father Ray Naquin. He is survived by his mother, Audrey Falgout Naquin; his loving wife of thirty-six years, Mary Jackson Naquin; his two sons, Adam and Jacob; his brothers, Michael (Denise), Bryan (Sherry), and Kevin (Kerry) Naquin; his sisters, Kathy (Arthur) and Pam (Hank) and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Barry graduated from Destrehan High School and attended Delgado Community College. He had several jobs in the engineering industry, most recently as an E/I Sr. Lead Designer. A man deeply committed to his faith and community, Barry was a proud member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, where he faithfully served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. He also previously served on the St. Charles Borromeo PTFO Board, giving generously of his time in support of the school and parish community.

Barry was actively involved in the lives of his children, coaching his sons’ athletic teams. He further demonstrated his dedication by previously serving on the board of the Christian Brothers Foundation, where Barry served in gratitude of the school’s commitment to faith, values, and the education it provided to his sons.

Motivated by his unwavering love for his family and community and sustained by his strong faith, Barry spent his final eight months courageously fighting his cancer while cherishing time with loved ones. His family would like to thank all of the medical staff and caregivers who cared for him, especially Dr. David Morrison, MD, and his assistant Jeanne, and Dr. Kristen Limbach, MD.

Visitation will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, Louisiana, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m., with interment in the church cemetery.
