Carmellia M. Leimkuhler passed away peacefully on Thursday June 27, 2013 at 10:04 p.m. Beloved wife of Eugene E. Leimkuhler Jr. after 38 years of sacred marriage. Former wife of the late Chris "Natale" Pisciotta. Loving mother of Anna Mae Davis (and husband, Don), Josephine "Josie" Calligaro and Marian Angle (and husband, the late Charles) and the late Tony Joseph Pisciotta and (at birth) Baby Pisciotta. Sister of Grace V. Johnson. Daughter of the late Josephine Citrano and Mariano Vicarise. Preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters, Survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Leimkuhler was an avid gardener, enjoyed needle point, painting, playing Bingo and cards, a former member of Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus, a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church and will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her. Aged 92 years, a native of Hammond, Louisiana and a resident of Kenner, Louisiana for the past 31 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from Garden of Memories Funeral Home Chapel 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie, Louisiana on Wednesday morning July 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until time of Services. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of New Orleans 2405 River Rd.
