Catherine Wightman Brent passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. She was 87 years old. Catherine was born and raised in New Orleans, La. At the time of her death she resided in Pearl River, La. with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brent, Sr. and sister Audrey Wightman Duffau. Mother of Richard Brent, Jr. and Karen Brent Gibbs. Grandmother to Stacy Gibbs deFigarelli, Amanda Gibbs Baxter, Patrick Joseph Brent, and Tyler James Brent. She is survived by her sisters, Erna Buckle and Elizabeth Bourgeois. She enjoyed visits with her sisters, trips to the casino, and caring for her other children (dogs), Tootsie and Boise. She will be greatly missed.
