Mr. Charles Joseph Bourgeois Sr.

Charles “Charlie” Bourgeois, Sr., age 81, had his burden of suffering lifted by our Heavenly Father on March 3, 2011. His bright spirit and endearing ways will be greatly missed. A beloved husband, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, June Lee Martin Bourgeois, two beautiful daughters, Diane B. Charlet and Deborah B. Fricke and faithful son Charles “C.J.” Bourgeois, Jr., Daughter-in-law Angelia Bourgeois and Sons-in-law Jeffrey Charlet and Robert Frickie. Nine loving Grandchildren, Dana, Courtney, Alicia, Michael, Brett, Kevin, Paige, Tyler and Taylar and six great grandchildren, Devin, Randy, Jayce, J’ahn, Landon and Ashton. Mr. Bourgeois was a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and Men’s Club, a Jefferson Parish retiree, trumpeter in the Jefferson Community band and retired from the U.S. Navy. Memorial Services will be held at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blved., Metairie, La. On Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am to conclude with a Catholic Mass at 11:00 am. Immediately followed by inurnment at the Garden of Memories Cemetery on Airline Drive, Metairie, La. In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer research.
