Charles William LaFrance Jr., age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 30, 2015. He was born in New Orleans on December 11, 1926. Charlie grew up in New Orleans and spent most of his married life in Metairie, moving to Mandeville in 2006. He served in the United States Navy. He was employed by American Can Company and the U.S. Postal Service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Carolyn, and his daughter Pamela LaFrance Vila. He leaves behind his children Lori Michelle LaFrance, Stephen LaFrance (Lori), son in law Thomas Vila. Loving grandfather of Curtis Vila (Kellie), Jeremy Vila, Karrah Vila Glynn (Daniel), Jordan LaFrance and Jacob LaFrance. Great grandfather of Connor Vila. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Ormond Care Center and St. Catherine Hospice for their loving care of Charlie.
