Mrs. Claire L. Moran, age 82, passed away on April 29th, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Gerard L Moran Jr., her father the late Ivy Hebert, mother Gloria Lee Gourgues, stepfather Charles Gourgues, and sister Cecile Elaine (Hebert) Jenevein. She is survived by her 57 yr old son Gerard L. Moran III, and his loving partner of 25 years, Alexandra D. French.
Claire was born in New Orleans, and grew up in the Aransas Pass TX area, before moving back to New Orleans. Claire worked as a dental hygienist at LSU Medical School in the 1980s, was a housewife, loved bull red fishing on Elmers Island in the dead of winter, and enjoyed volunteering with The Poor Clare Nuns.
Visitation for Claire will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana beginning at 11:00 am - 1:00 pm until the time of the Prayer Service at 1:00 pm.
