Though I didn't get to spend much time with Mrs. Catalano like some of you have,but I had the privilege to meet her on a very special day, Lauren and Duane's wedding. To all of Connie's family, I was so saddened to hear of hear passing.  We were good friends at Bellsouth and I was in the drill team at Riverdale with her.  We had alot of fun times together.  She was such a special person.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.

I work with Lauren at Granite, and even though I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Catalano, through Lauren I considered her an extended mother. Lauren was always a concerned daughter who called her mother throughout the day to check on just to see how her day was. I can remember Ms. Catalano sending photos because she couldn’t figure out what to wear for a recent wedding. Her model pose made all of us smile.  Mrs. Catalano was a delight which Lauren loved to photograph. I know nothing I can say can bring her back but hold on to the good memories you shared with her.  Deepest condolences

I was so sad to hear about Connie. She was alway so very nice and she had the most wonderful smile. I know all of you will miss her very much. Just remember, She is not gone, She is just away. We are so saddened to hear of Connie’s death.  I worked with Connie for 3 years in the Engineering Department and rode to and from work with her most of that time.  She was a pleasure to work with and I have thought of her many times over the years.  The first week of October last year we had the pleasure of bumping into you guys in Denny’s.  We shared the same table and had so much fun talking and catching up with both of you.  Connie talked of Shelle’s wedding that was a couple of days before our meeting.  Our chance meeting that night was special and we will always cherish that memory. Connie lived her life well and was a special gift to all of you.  May God comfort you and help you to find peace and healing during this sad time.

The first day I met Ms.Connie I couldn't help to notice her bright personality, she was similar to the full moon on a clear dark night. She was always accompanied by a beautiful glow of happiness that surrounded her. She could make any day seem like a big party,she was just a blast to be around.I will always remember her candy she would sneak to me before dinner was served, her carrot cake that she was so proud of, the salt she would sneak onto her paneed veal, her fried shrimp that would make her dance,her funny little words she loved to use,her honest opinions, her words of encouragement,her smiling face when Shelle and I would pull into her driveway,the treats she would give to the pets every five minutes, her warm heart, her hugs, her strong battle and her positive attitude. I am proud to call her my mother in law but most of all my good friend. I am so thankful for these memories, we will miss you so much.

The times that we visited your house we were always welcomed by Connie with the warmest of Southern hospitality. She was always smiling and very easy to talk to. Janet still has the plants that you and her gave us to replace what we lost in Katrina. A small thing, but it made a world of difference to us. We are very sorry for your loss. She was a very sweet person.

Connie had the most beautiful smile - one that could light up an entire room. I can still see her and that smile.  Anytime I would run into her she was always so friendly & gracious.  My thought & prayers to the family,  especially Lauren & Shelly.

Roshelle and Lauren, your mom is one of the sweetest people i have ever known. I am deeply saddened by her passing. Everyone that has ever been in your life has been there for a reason. Whether they are there forever in your life or just cross through it briefly. But when someone you love, like your mom, leaves forever, how do you respond? A few years ago I attended a memorial service and heard a man say that he had heard many people over the years get angry with God for taking their loved one away. He said that you should look at it as that God has put that person in your life as a gift and a reason. If they are taken away, then they must have fulfilled what God intended them to do. This man was speaking about his young daughter for whom the service was for. His wife then got up and sang "How Great Thou Art", praising God. It was beautiful. This had a very big impact on me and has stayed with me. So know that she truly was a gift from God and he has his reasons, which we may never know. I don't know if this helps any, but maybe it will one day. I feel very blessed to have known such an incredibly sweet and classy woman who raised two daughters who emulate her. Connie:  Our paths crossed many times in your life.  You always seem to light up anytime you spoke about your Family.  My first memory of you was when I walked into the District Engineering office at 2930 Canal St.  We worked for Norman Owen and he made me put a tie on.  Than I walked down to Pete Masset's office and he took my tei off and threw it in the trash can.  You were the only friendly face there that day, we than went to Frostop for breakfast.
