Mr. Dannis James Locke

Dannis James Locke, fondly known as James, of Greenville, SC, son of Eula McDonald Locke and the late Rev. James Wesley Locke, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. James resided in New Orleans, LA with his wife and best friend Carmen Gonzalez Locke and their daughter Isabella. James was also the proud father of twin sons, Eric Z. Locke of Phoenix, Arizona and Derrick B. Locke of Albuquerque, NM; and two granddaughters, Nakya Grace Locke and Dana Locke. Brother of Mrs. Susan Locke Thompson (Anthony) and Ms. Frances Oliver, both of Greenville, SC, Paul Anthony Locke (Earnestine) of Maidens, Virginia and the late Dennis Locke (James’ twin brother) and Cathy Locke Rhodes. Also survived by his brother-in-law John W. Rhodes. He leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends in the US and Ecuador. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, LA 70006; visitation will begin at 2:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM.
