Diane Marie Bonicard
26 February, 1936 – 19 January, 2023

Diane Marie Bonicard passed away peacefully at home where she lived with her lifelong friend, Rosella Dubroc. She was 86. She was the daughter of the late Hiriam and Elizabeth Bonicard and the sister of the late Ronald J. Bonicard and Joyce B. Knieper. She is survived by her nieces, Eileen Tyler (Donnie) from TX and Kathleen Keppel from KY, her nephew, Kenny Knieper from TX, her friend, Rosella Dubroc and her family including 14 nieces and nephews and her cat "Itsy". Diane enjoyed all music from opera to rock and roll and was an accomplished flautist and clarinetist. She was an avid reader who had a fondness for Agatha Christie and was a brilliant conversationalist. In 1995, she retired from Louisiana Job Service Placement within the Department of Labor after 38 years.
Visitation will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 4921 W. Metairie Ave. in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 9 – 11 am followed by a rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Blake Dubroc of the Lafayette Diocese at 1:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist Church, 15208 Hwy. 73 in Prairieville, LA. The interment will be in Prairieville Community Cemetery.
