Dorothy B Corne

Dorothy May Thompson Boone-Corne’ peacefully passed away on Sunday, 13 March 2011; she was born on 2 June 1916, Fairfax, Virginia. Family moved family to the south 1962. Resided initially in New Orleans; then became a resident of Gretna, LA for the last 44 years; last two years residing at Wynhoven Health Care Center.

Survived by two sons and spouses, Lawrence Daniel Boone (Gail), grandchildren Lee and Dawn residing in El Paso, Texas and Wayne Daniel Boone (Gayle); grandchildren twins, Jeffrey Dwayne Boone (Stacey), Jennifer Lynn Boone Duhe (Tad) and Jessica Marie Boone Farmer (Elmer) and a total of 9 great-grandchildren locally (Jeffrey, Jace, and Cole).

She volunteered at Wynhoven Nursing Home for over 20 years; was an avid supporter of her church and had a heartfelt commitment to her family. Family and friends are invited for visitation and funeral held at GARDEN OF MEMORIES FUNERAL HOME, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie. La. on Saturday, March 19. VISITATION is at 9:00 with SERVICES at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment.
