Dorothy “Dottie” Ann Nunez Riekens entered peacefully into heaven on Sunday, January 8, 2012. Loving mother of Mark S. Ryan (Carol), Ross M. Ryan (Shelly) and Shannon Ryan Mac Lachlan (Gilbert). Proud grandmother of 5 grandchildren, Sarah and Katie Ryan; Carrie Silverstein and Kayla Ryan and Lindsay Pellhum. Daughter of the late Lillian Abney Nunez and Edwin Alcide Nunez. Sister of Robert Nunez (Joni) and the late Edwin Nunez, Jr. Sister-in-law Linda Nunez. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss dearly.

Age 70, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Chalmette and River Ridge. “Dottie” retired from Textron Marine Company after 30 years of service as a Bookkeeper.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie.
