Edwin "Eddie" D. Martin, Jr., passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020, he was 69 years old. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Edwin D. Martin, Sr., and his brother Warren Charles Martin. He is survived by his mother Elouise Hudson Jacobs, a sister Stephanie Shoemaker, step-sister Cheryl Regan, step-brother Jeffery Jacobs, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Eddie was an all around guy who did everything, he enjoyed working on cars and he was good with his hands. He really enjoyed being outside and was very active. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service for Edwin will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana. Visitation with the family will from 9:00 am - 11:00 am followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Eddie's honor to Villalobos Rescue Center, P.O. Box 771127 New Orleans, LA. 70177 (Pit Bulls and Parolees) or a no kill animal shelter.
